Rui Nabeiro starts his own brand – Delta Cafés

In 1961, in a small 50 sq m warehouse in the town of Campo Maior, Rui Nabeiro started his business by roasting 30 kilos of coffee each day.

And this is how the best-known Portuguese coffee brand, Delta Cafés was created.

We shared knowledge and tradition with the opening of the

Coffee Museum in Campo Maior

In that same year, Novadelta, S. A. received quality certification, to become the first company in the sector to obtain NP certification EN 29002/ISSO 9002.

Delta Cafés Timor S.A., and A Heart Called Delta (Uma Coração Chamada Delta)

In addition to the Citizenship Project in Timor – Delta Cafés Timor S.A. – and the Company Volunteering movement – A Heart Called Delta – we launched Delta Magazine – a publication designed for the catering sector.

The arrival of the new millennium strengthened our desire to go further, and 2003 was the year in which we opened the group’s portfolio to other brands.

2005

Recognising the importance of giving back. We set up the

Delta Heart Association (Associação Coração Delta) and the Commander Rui Nabeiro Post-Graduate Centre (Centro Pós-Graduação Comendador Rui Nabeiro)

This year we increased our community impact with the Delta Heart and the inauguration of the Commander Rui Nabeiro Post-Graduate Centre.
